Music by the Pool at FSBC
FSBC Members enjoy live music every Saturday from May to September. We also have live music on July 4th and a year-end bash with multiple bands on October 8 to raise funds for FSBC Scholarships.
Featuring an impressive array of local and national acts, the music starts at 6 PM.
All shows are arranged and executed by FBSC's Music Director Gene Osborn and the production team of Matt Curreri, Sam Bush, John Kokola, Minh Martin, Aly Snider, Geoff Otis, and Colin Steers.
Koda & Marie
Marie Borgman and Koda Kerl formed the band Chamomile & Whiskey in 2011, in the Blue Ridge Mountains. They have been traveling the country playing as a duo and have returned home to Nelson County. They were recently married here in the FSBC Ballroom! Expect an eclectic blend of raucous-roots, drunken-Irish, potent-americana, and mountain-funk at this show.
100 Proof Gogo & Afterparty with DJ Challah Bread
Inspired by many music genre’s 100 Proof Band and Show brings and array of local musician that collectively blend a broad range of music, Funk, R&B, Jazz, Neo Soul, to produce one sound. Combined as one merged with the soulful groove of DC G-Go adds flavor, with Latin congas speaking to the audience, it’s sure to please your musical senses. 100 Proof Band and Show took the stage 3 years ago and have since been climbing the ladders of bands in Virginia showcasing it’s talent across the state and nearby West Virginia. With a high octane pace and nonstop sets, 100 Proof Band satisfies the musical and dancing desires or their fans. This show is open to the public (limited tickets, must be purchased in advance).

Deau Eyes
Deau Eyes is an indie-rock project from Richmond, VA, and is an undeniably cinematic journey, informed by her love of artists from Brandi Carlile to Emily King to Fiona Apple.
Devon Sproule
Devon Sproule’s music welcomes the magical and the tangible. It celebrates human complication in the language of nature. It is North American music with weirdo roots.
Since 2007, Sproule’s recordings have been released by Tin Angel Records, based in Coventry, England. She collaborates regularly with Toronto-based band Bernice and producer Sandro Perri. In Summer 2015, she recorded songs from a new collection, “The Gold String,” in Yukon and Nova Scotia. Besides Canada and America, Sproule also tours regularly in Europe and has traveled with her music to Africa and Australia.
Side Hustle
Side Hustle is a fun Charlottesville jam band blending blues, classic rock, and power pop into a tasty stew of improvisation. Its members—Bonnie Gordon on viola, Dave Kershner on bass, Will Hitchcock on vocals, Rich Schragger on drums, and Liz Varon on guitar--are local educators, drawn together by their passion for music. Side Hustle has played around town at Tin Whistle, WTJU, Miller's, Merrie Mill Vineyard, and Fry's Spring Beach Club. They also play driveway and yard concerts and love to throw birthday parties. John D’earth often joins on trumpet.
Ramona & The Holy Smokes
Ramona and the Holy Smokes is a Honky Tonk band from Charlottesville Virginia, whose original country music recalls classic country from the 1950s and 60s. The Holy Smokes are fronted by Ramona Martinez, a prolific singer-songwriter who pulls inspiration from her own life to write songs about heartbreak and hangovers.
Kendall Street Company
Local band Kendall Street Company are no strangers to having a wild time. The genre-fluid, eclectic rock ensemble has drawn varied comparisons to the dynamic jams of Umphrey's McGee and Widespread Panic, songwriting prowess of John Prine, experimental psychedelia of Pink Floyd, progressive jazz-infused rock of Frank Zappa, and off-color humor of Ween and They Might Be Giants. Including elements of crowd participation, off-the-cuff comedic bits, haphazard choreography, musical improvisation, and surprise musical guests, each Kendall Street Company concert is an experience unlike any other.
David Wax Museum
Celebrated for their blend of Americana with regional music of Mexico, pioneering folk musicians David Wax and Suz Slezak are the plucky husband-wife duo behind the eclectic and exuberant band David Wax Museum based in Charlottesville, VA
Theocles
Theocles is a local singer-songwriter , using his soulful voice to carry the audience through a range of emotions - from tearful ballads to pop bangers.
